The pelvic floor is made up of muscle and other connective tissues. It has three main functions: support the organs, urinary and fecal continence and sexual function.

Just like any muscle or muscle group in the body, the pelvic floor can be weak, tight, or uncoordinated which can lead to many problems relating to its main 3 functions, and more! While symptoms relating to dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles are more common in women, men can also experience problems relating to this group of muscles such as:

Urinary problems

Fecal problems

Pelvic pain

Sexual problems
