Laetitia Bourgeon

Laetitia studied physiotherapy in the United States where she received her Ph.D. in 2013 at the University of Central Arkansas. Throughout her studies, she worked as a physio assistant in a hospital in acute, intensive, postoperative and rehabilitative care. After obtaining her doctorate, she worked as a physiotherapist in several fields both in hospital and private clinics. Her experience in these multiple fields allowed her to have a better understanding on how pathologies evolve and how to guide her patients through their treatment.
Laetitia then moved to Quebec and since, obtaining her membership of the of the Professional Order of Physiotherapy of Quebec, she has worked in private clinics since 2015. She actively pursues courses to improve her professional development. After completing the courses in the McKenzie method, she obtained her certification in 2018. She has also worked with Dr. Santaguida, a neurosurgeon specializing in the spine, further developing her knowledge of lumbar and cervical problems.
Laetitia obtained an athletic scholarship for four years to represent her university in tennis. Her passion for physical activities grew and became the reason why she chose to be became a physiotherapist. Her goal is to enable to her patients to regain the pleasure of practicing their favorite activities and to promote their independence with physical activities adapted to their condition.
