READ MORE SUR Mihaela
Mihaela has been a physiotherapist since 2018. She completed her physiotherapy studies at Université Laval. Previously, she studied medicine and obtained her medical degree in her native country.
In physiotherapy, she focuses on musculoskeletal problems in adults, as well as pediatric patients, particularly babies with motor development disorders, torticollis, and/or plagiocephaly.
In 2020, Mihaela completed postgraduate training in manual therapy, with 180 hours of theory and clinical supervision with the Association Québécoise de Physiothérapie Musculo-Squelettique Avancée (AQPMA). More recently, she has become interested in the McKenzie Method, a scientifically proven approach to treating musculoskeletal disorders.
In addition, she has completed several other training programs, notably in postural control and motor development in children (at the University of Montreal), as well as in vestibular rehabilitation. Furthermore, Mihaela worked for three years with clients with vestibular disorders, both in private practice and in a hospital setting (at the CIUSSS de l’Est-de-l’Île-de-Montréal). She continues to offer specialized services to this type of clientele.
Passionate about working with children, Mihaela has a particular interest in pediatric physiotherapy, including vestibular rehabilitation. In this context, she treats issues such as vertigo, dizziness, and balance disorders in young patients. These problems related to vestibular dysfunction are addressed by pediatric vestibular rehabilitation, an area of expertise that we are pleased to offer at our clinic.
